regarding red rash on my face

I have recently developed this red rash looking spot just to the right of my chin. it started out very small, i believed it was possibly a chemical burn, and has grown to around half of a dollar bill size. Another spot has also appeared just above the left side of my chin and is about the size of a dime. Both spots are increadibly itchy. My friend suggested that it was possibly a fungus and suggested i use an anti-dandruff shampoo. I did so and the areas cleared for a day or so, but they are back to what they were before, possibly worse. Please help me if you can.

I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be eczema or fungal infections(ringworm).
See the treatment for both is entirely different and sometimes steroids used in case of eczema may aggravate the symptoms if it is not eczema but a fungal infection.So I would suggest that you get it checked from a dermatologist so that exact diagnosis can be confirmed before starting with the treatment.
