I wouldn't say I have severe acne but I get a few blemishes around my forehead & chin area. I went to my doctor & I was prescribed tretinion gel. I began to use the gel a week ago once a day after showering (how the pharmacist told me). My face would burn when I'd apply the gel but I thought it was normal because the pharmacist told me that it would happen. On the third day my face began to burn when I would sweat (I had a soccer game that day) when I got home I saw some redness around my nose, I thought it was normal, & after I showered I applied the gel again. My face burned so bad that I was practically crying when I was applying it. I read the instructions in the box because the pain was unbearable. The pharmacist misinformed me, I was supposed to wait 30 minutes to apply the gel after showering and for sensitive skin it is to be used every other day. I have sensitive skin so my face would burn to everything I applied. I have stopped using my pond's lotion and tea tree oil soap bar on my face because they are too harsh on my skin. For the past 3 days I have been washing my face with dove's sensitive soap bar, jernigans daily moisturizer & ive been applying aloe Vera straight from the plant. My face is still peeling and everything around my nose, cheeks & chin are blistering red. Is there anything that would help speed up the heeling process?
