response to facial rash of 7 year old

Okay I have a 7 year old that since we returned in August from a camping trip in a state park has had a red rash around her mouth. It has no spread up to around her nose recently. Sometimes it is worse than others. We tried a different toothpaste and this makes no difference. We have tried many of the creams that another mom mentioned. Doctor doesn't know what it is. If anyone figures this out let me know.
