Dr. Rockoff
Thanks for your prior response.  While I appreciate your prior answer suggesting my issues are psychological, (and I am in therapy),  I do not believe it is responsible to assume my symptoms are simply psychologically induced.  I have been to a Infectious Disease specialist who was smart enough to have my semen checked where I tested positive for Enterrococcus Faecelis, for which I am on a 90 day course of amoxicillin.  While I'm concerned about amoxicillin's prostate penetration rates, he wants me to stay the course, and he believes some or all of the frequency, urgency (but less likely the itching) may be related to the bacterial prostatitis.

While I have never had any sores on my penis that produced any white spots or pus, I do have small areas (blotches?) on the shaft of my penis which are very mildly pinker than the surrounding areas, 1/4-1/2 inch in irregular size, BUT which I might not notice because of their subtlety if I wasn't itching on and off every couple of days.  The "pink blotches" admittedly are sublte and only noticeable some days and not others, as is the itching.   They have NOT followed masturbation.  Because I have had mildly recurrent eczema on my chest and scalp, I might have expected you to suggest eczema, but I was really asking you to share, as a Dermatologist, what other dermatological causes you would explore (and how) that might cause distracting genital itching with (perhaps) related stinging on the tip of my penis, GIVEN THE HISTORY I DETAILED (and the negative tests I detailed).  Thanks

I don't know any dermatological diseases that look the way you describe.  Changes subtle enough to be visible on some days and not on others do not add up to any skin disease I have ever seen or heard of, and even more dramatic and easily visible skin diseases like eczema and psoriasis don't cause the kinds of stinging and itching symptoms of which you complain.  My assessment and recommendations remain the same.  You will need to seek out any further advice from a doctor in person.
