ring worm

i have a circular red patch on  my scrotum.... i have not slept with anyone, and am extremely concerned.. i believe it to be ringworm but am not sure.. it is circular, red and has a few white flakes inside the circle... what is it?

I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be granuloma annulare. It is characterized by round bump or rash. No treatment is required and it may go on its own. Severe cases may need steroids, non-steroid topical anti-inflammatory creams such as tacrolimus, cryotherapy, laser treatment or UV light therapy. Consultation of a dermatologist will be the best in your case. Other possibility of nummular dermatitis also has to be ruled out.
