ringworm or something else

Hi Doc, I developed a small scaly patch on the head of my penis about a week ago. it was about 1mm in diameter. It is red...no blister...no puss...no pain or itch. I started treating it with some anti fungal cream thinking it is jock itch developing. I had this condition about 2 years ago. It is week two now and the patch has grown to about 3mm in diameter. It doesn't really bother me because I feel no pain or anything. It's just worries me 'cause it's there.
Am I doing the right thing by putting the cream on it? Should I do something else? Please advice.

How are you? If the patch is growing despite the treatment, it is best that you have this evaluated further to rule out other skin conditions such as irritation or eczema. Try not to put any other medication since this part is sensitive and it may do more harm than good. Direct clinical examination of the lesion is essential to determine the underlying cause.
