ringworm?? please help

okay, so it first started with just a couple little red bumps on the back of my thighs and just one on my arm. The ones on the back of my thighs, i didnt do anything to them and they ended up scabbing in a little circular shape and taking 2 to 3 weeks to go away. The one on my arm scabbed and then i itched at it and the next day it was all bumpy around it. Eventually (about 2 weeks later) they went away and now that little area of my arm is whiter then the rest of my arm. Now i have those little scabs or red bumps on the back of my thighs again, but only 1 or 2 on each thigh. Whats going on? What is it? Can it be treated without going to the doctor? please help!
