roacutane and pregnancy

by krumpet, Apr 19, 2008 12:58PM
Hi there,

i completed 5months on used roacutane six months ago and it didn't clear my acne.

my dermatologist prescribed another 4month course of 20ml tabs 1per/day.

i took one tab then stopped.  see i've just discovered that im about 14days pregnant.  the home test says so anyway.
my question is,  i took only one 20ml tab the day before conception and no more. i just had a feeling so i stopped.
will this one tab be harmful to my baby?

thankyou

Hi I myself am on accutane,And as far as i have been told as long as you were not exposed to it before the pregnacy (at least a month) so it has time to leave your blood stream. That is why they tell you not to donate blood as well. Then the One Tablet you took will NOT effect the baby. It is to low of a dose. Hope that puts you at ease.
