I do not recommend shaving the pubic region. Shaving the groin or the pubic area may increase the risk for infections such as folliculitis and pseudofolliculitis barbae (ingrown hairs). I would suggest that as much as possible do not shave the area. Nicks and cuts on the skin may facilitate infection of the skin and thus may lead to the above mentioned conditions which in the case of folliculitis is contagious.
