Hello,
Treatment of scabies is specific and consists of topical medicines like permethrin, malathion, lindane and tea tree oil and oral medicine like ivermectin. Permethrin 5% is the topical medicine of choice. 10% sulfur ointment in petroleum jelly applied topically is effective. A single dose of ivermectin is also effective but use it under a dermatologist’s evaluation. Scabies is highly contagious and is transmissible from daily household articles also and all family members may require the treatment. So I would advise an evaluation by a dermatologist.

Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Warm regards.
