Have had scabies for three weeks and treated with 5% Permethrin Cream three times (have several tubes.) Last night had itching and found new trails so treated a fourth time.
All bedding, clothing etc. has been either washed and dryed in hot water and dryer or placed in plastic bags (not to be opened for two weeks.)
What can be done with mattress (may have reinfested me)?
Am I as risk for illness due to over medication?

Try using food grade DE (Diatomaceous Earth). It looks and feels just like baby powder and is completely safe. You can dust your mattresses and all furniture with it and it kills any type of bug infestation within 20 minutes to an hour.You can also make a paste out of it and put it all over your body for 20 minutes a day for 5 days.
This stuff is OUTSTANDING and so safe, you can drink it to rid yourself of parasites. Good luck!!
Keep your mattress in sun for one or two days and then cover it with mattress covers or encasements after thoroughly vacuuming the mattress. Also flip over the mattress after one or two days. Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing. Kind regards.
