- possible swollen lymph node- I don't think any other nodes are swollen but I can't tell. You can not see the lump- however when I tilt my head to my right side - you can see a tiny bump. It's been there for over a month
Hello,
Since you’ve got the complaint of itchy scalp, you may be suffering from Tinea Capitis or Ringworm (fungal infection) of the scalp. Ringworm is a fungal skin infection that occurs on the face, body or scalp. The symptoms of Ringworm or Tinea Capitis include a dry itchy scalp, scaling, crusting, inflamed nodules, hair loss and tender enlarged lymph nodes on the neck. Because of the scratching that is involved with the condition it can become secondarily infected with a bacterial infection which can cause a swollen lymph node also.
I think in your case it could be fungal scalp infection and secondary bacterial infection. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
Went to my OB/gyn yesterday, bc I don't have a GP, - he said he doesn't think it's anythingto worry about and from my scalp. He said if he gets bigger or my psorisas gets worst to go to a dermatologist .
