I have a spot on my head where my hair come out and now I have hard bumps scattered on my scalp and my scalp itches. Any idea what this might be?

To: reppdp,
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be fungal infection or folliculitis. The symptoms of Ringworm or Tinea Capitis include a dry itchy scalp, scaling, crusting, inflamed nodules, hair loss and tender enlarged lymph nodes on the neck.  Because of the scratching that is involved with the condition it can become secondarily infected with a bacterial infection.

I sincerely suggest you to consult a dermatologist and get this possibility evaluated. Treatment depends on confirmation of diagnsosis.

Hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.
