scar on penis

by mullosk33, Jul 30, 2006 12:00AM
Hello Doctor,

I got a few warts removed from my penis via lazer surgery about a year and a half ago. The surgery left a fairly large scar on the underside of my shaft which is slowly fading with time. However, recently I spent a week at the beach and was in the water a lot. When I returned I noticed that that scar was basically pealing and was very dry. I put a little lotion on it so we shall see what happens. In your opinion, why do you think is causing this pealing.

I also noticed 2 very tiny (pin sized) red spots on the shaft of my penis.  I just noticed this this morning.  Could this also be cause by some kind of wet swin suit irritation?  I don't think it's any sort of STD as I haven't had sex since this past Feburary (it was protected sex) and have been tested for Herpes 1 and 2.  I have had oral herpes (cold sores) on my mouth but can't remember the last time I had a cold sore.  I tested negative for genital herpes.  Your expertise is greatly appreciated.

I don't know exactly what the peeling is, but I doubt it's of any significance.  Maybe some mild irritation from the swimsuit.  I'd ignore it.

As for the small spots, they don;t sound like anything wither, so I'd ignore them too.

Take care.
