scrotal redness

A week ago i noticed a small pinkish clear bump on the shaft of my penis. I thought it was a pimple so i tried to pop it. Nothing came out. We even stuck a needle in it and nothing. It was fairly hard knot it seemed. Went to the doctor and he did not think the bump was herpes but ran a blood test anyway. My HSV 1 was elevated, my HSV 2 was normal. The bump does not hurt but my penis feels sore/irritated and i have some redness where my scotum attaches to the base of my penis as well. Are all these things related? I go to a urologist to get checked out next week. Just looking for some insight on this.
