Hello,

The symptoms are suggestive of Jock itch. Jock itch shows up in post-adolescent men and hormonal changes during puberty, lifestyle and heredity each play a role.Predisposing fungal disease like tines cruris may also aggravate it.

Wash your scrotum daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying, not rubbing. A hairdryer is useful if you have hairy scrotum. The damp skin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton underwears and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels.Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment.

If the symptoms persist then pls consult a dermatologist. It has to be differentiated from yeast infections, impetigo and psoriasis which may mimic it.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted on how you are doing.

I am 13 going on 14 and i searched up this issue and the result was a bit scary. All of the exact same simptoms im experiencing lead to people saying how they suffred from this multiple years, with one saying he delt with this for nearly 22 years! Im very concened and am wondering if this could end up being permanent and ruining my life. Is there any way in recent studies that conclude there is a way to irradicate this problem? I dont know where to look or what to do. I thank you if you took the time to read this and would be thrilled if you could send me some feed back.
Have you tried any of the advice that Dr. Kaur gave the original poster of this question?  If not, start there- jock itch is very common and no, it won't ruin your life.  You just need to address it and make sure you are maintaining healthy hygiene habits.   If the advice that is noted above doesn't help, get into a doctor- the key to getting better is to not avoid or ignore it- so do your best to address it, even if that means getting a doctor to assist.
