serve Itichness and reddies on scalp followed by excessive hair loss

Hi, I'm 23 male been having severe itchness on my scalp to a point that it burns under my scalp (especially the top of my scalp and the hairline) and the worse part is hair loss through out all over my scalp which I think accosiates with the severe itchness. It has been 2 years that I'm suffering and I use to have the tickest shiny hair in my family and both my parents have full set of hair including my older brother 35. I tired all kind of shampoo from T-sal T-gel and also prescrption shampoo Clobetsol but nothing seems to work. I don't have noticable bald spot but my hair roots are very thin and dry and  easily brakes and comes off from its roots. I feel I have less volume of hair than before. I defently feel there is somthing under my scalp skin the causes the burn and itchness. I'm guessing it could be funges infection or somehting in that area. Would the Biopsy help to determine the problem? This has drove me crazy for some time I'm in desperate need of help and I wonder if there is any solution.
Thank you

Hello,
From the symptoms it sounds like telogen effluvium. It is nonscarring alopecia characterized by diffuse hair shedding, often with an acute onset. There is a chronic form also which persists for a longer duration and starts with insidious onset. Chronic telogen effluvium is hair shedding lasting longer than 6 months. Treatment consists of medications like Minoxidil, surgical approach(hair transplantation) and improvement in diet.

My sincere advice is to consult a trichologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
