short nails

by onslaught61, Nov 07, 2007 05:24PM
I could not find any straightforward answer regarding nails that are short, and stop growing pink before they hit the end of the finger. Mine were due to nail biting and improper nail cutting, so now the nails look stubby and the white part at the end of the nail grows out before it hits the end of the finger, making them look stubby. Essentially, the nail bed would not reattach to the translucent part of the nail (cuticle?) and thus it leaves the nail white instead of pink and thus I'm forced to trim the nail otherwise it'll just be plain ugly with the white growing. Is there pretty much no hope in them somehow reattaching?
