shoulder/arm pain

I have noticed a small lump under my left arm which is growing slowly but without any pain. Recently when shown to the DR I was told its LIPOMA and is harmless fat. But in after two days I noticed swelling below my left arm ( back) which is paining and the whole left hand is paining . My left arm is slightly fatter than left arm. What could be the reason for the swelling ?

This lipoma can be pressing on the underlying nerves and hence causing pain and this swelling. It might also be infected. You need to get it surgically excised and removed and a course of topical and oral antibiotics prescribed.
