skin blotches

About six months ago I noticed a fairly large blotch on my back a smaller one below it and one on my chest then last weekend I noticed five more spots on my shoulder and clavicle.  I have very fair skin and wear plenty of sun screen. The blotches are different sizes and shapes they seem to be dry spots are slightly raised and are darker than my skin color but not very dark.  My question is could this be a skin fungus or am I just short on nutrients?

My husband seems to have the same condition.  I am trying to seek help for him.  I hope that whatever answers you get can prove helpful to him as well.
