skin condition

by Jboyt, Mar 22, 2008 03:32PM
Ever since i was a young child, my face has always been red and i never really wondered why until my mom told me about this condition i may have.. i do have these bumps all along my arms, neck and on my legs; and i hate them. She bought me this cream online that apparently is supposed to help, but i haven't seen much for results. I use Paula's Choice.. its a skin exfoliant, helps to tone my skin and such, then i use a hemp lotion for a moisturizer.. I'm not sure, everyday when i look at my face, there seems to be clear places on my face, but it never really vanishes completely ..
As for the red bumps on my arms & legs, i just try to loofa everyday while putting this lotion on, hopefully it goes away.. then again, when my mom asked a doctor at work (she's a nurse) he said none of that stuff works unless you get special prescribed medication from behind the counter?..  Am i just wasting my time?

Hi,

I understand that this may be very discomforting.

I just have a few questions:

How old are you?

You have mentioned that since you were a child you have always noted your face to be red. Is your face persistently red ? Or would you be able to determine certain triggers which cause your face to be red like change in weather, sun exposure, alcohol, certain chemicals.

Is there a visible lesion over the face ?

Which appeared first , the lesions in the extremities or the face redness?
