skin discolouration

hi. i m 49 years .Few months back a small patch developed on the skin of penis. It has slowly increased and covered almost 80% of the skin. The skin has become  little soft and pinkish.Though it does not pain but now a small cut has developed in that area . its worrying me .i m finding it odd to visit doc.  Can any one  guide me please.

I cannot confirm anything without examination but since the patch has been present for such a long time, so any verrucous carcinoma and psoriasis has to be ruled out. If it is itchy then we can think about fungal infection or eczema. Exactly what it is can be confirmed only after examination and biopsy. I sincerely advise you to get it examined from a dermatologist.
