OKAY, so i have been having a problem with my skin for about a year to a year and a half now and its been diagnosed in the beginning as dermatitis psorisis but ive looked at many pictures and it looks nothing like it. Also ive been using a cream that hasnt been helping. I am posting a picture so if anyone could help me out that would be great. Ive been severly ashamed to go out and do things because this problem is hindering my ability to be social. At times, theres a burning sensation/iching! I get it mainly on my face
Hello,
From the description that you have given, three possibilities are coming to my mind. First possibility is of rosacea and the second possibility is of cutaneous
part of the face, such as forehead; cheeks;nose and chin. Cutaneous lupus is an autoimmune manifestation of the skin which is often provoked by sun’s exposure. It may sometimes be an associated symptoms of SLE(systemic lupus erythematosus). Biopsy skin and ANA titres along with blood tests can differentiate the two. A third possibility which is less likely but needs evaluation is cholinergic urticaria.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
