skin irritation

the other night i used the mandelay(Benzocaine) cream on my penis for the first time. during sex i took off the condom and had sex without the condom. during the sex i had a burning feeling so i stopped. the next day i realised i had cuts on my penis which went away in like two days. then the foreskin on my penis started to burn like a itchy feeling. from time to time i will feel this itchy feeling an when i touch it it burns. then under the head started to look like the skin was peeling off and it was white. if i touch it. it would be as if the whitish will come off but then reappear later and its very moist. was wondering if this could of been caused by the cream or is it a yeast infection or a std i caught from her

Hi,

It could be either of the thre conditions - nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions.

You could keep the area clean, wash it several times with fresh water, wear lose comfortable clothes and take some oral antihistamine medications for the itching.

Apply calamine lotion and see if it helps. Keep the area well moisturised. Do not use any other cosmetic products.

If the lesion still persists, after a couple of days you would need to get it checked.

Let us know about how you are doing and if you need any other information.

Regards.
