skin itching, afraid its some kind of mite or bug?

I am a housecleaner and have been for years. I have a new client and I have been to her house 2 times so far. She is a hoarder and her house could honestly be on the television show, however I am trying to help her. Since I have been to her house the second time, my skin is itching all over. Sometimes little sharp itches like something is biting me, sometimes feels like something is crawling on me. I am really scared that she has something in her home and i now have it. I overheard her ask her son if he was being "bitten" and later saw bedclothes in her driveway. I wondered about bedbugs. The itching is driving me crazy and I know my mind is only making it worse. I don't see anything on my skin, but I have NO idea what else it could be. Help!

it started like this for me as well and now it is over 2 years and i still didnt find the answer.I thought about fleas and bedbugs for about 1 year, now i think it is some parasite, fungus or infection which affects some people and some no,probably depending on your immunity...and yes the people around me get itchy, but no one complains

im having very same problem and have been since i started working for this company. i get this itching all over but around my nose, cheeks and forehead the most. no visible marks, bites or rash. i have been to the doctors about it several times just for them to say its all in my head and i am perfectly healthy. i had this suspicion it was some kind of mite or a bed bug in the appoulsty of the chairs at work but they are visible and will leave bite marks or rash i have read. its driving me crazy and have been dealing with this for about 2 months now. my advice is get the hell out of there and dont go back! i have one question for you though ... does it seem to be contagious when you are around people?
