wash, sunscreen and moisturizer. My skin is extremely sensitive and was told to stay away from peels, exfolients and glycolic acid. Currently, I have a rash that appeared on the breast, then a small spot
and some rash like places. It will not go away even with prescription cremes. I also have a mildly positive ANA blood and am working with a doctor to further investigate. I have no joint pain and the rash is not consistent with lymes or lupus. Why is this rash not going away?
Hi,
Persistent rash which appears on and off cab be due to eczema or psoriasis.Eczema is a type of skin allergy.Psoriasis may have an auto-immune component which causes it.
Eczema is due to a hypersensitivity reaction (similar to an allergy) in the skin, which leads to long-term inflammation.
Mild anti-itch lotions or topical corticosteroids (low potency) may soothe less severe or healing areas, or dry scaly lesions.
Psoriasis has to be confirmed on examination for treatment to be started.
You can use any skin care products which contain substances that re soothong to the skin like Cucumber, aloe vera etc. Avoid any that contain particulate matter as they can abrade the skin and thus cause an irritation.
