skin sores

hello i think i might have a skin infection. I get sores in my pubic area as well as in my lower stomach/upper groing area when i shave. They start out as a small bump then grow into a sore that itches and eventualy scabs and goes away. I saw a doctor about it, all he did was look at it and said it was something like "staliculitis". Im not sure if this is the right word but im looking for a way to prevent this from happening.

do u shave ur pubs if so i have the same problem mine started up a couple days after i shaved and hasnt gone away and i think it has to do with the hair foliculs not an in grown hair but an invection i am sexual active with my fiancee and she doesnt have the same thing so i dont think it is an STD
