small red recurring bumps on lower leg

Need answers on having small red bumps on lower leg from below the knee to the ankle.  The bumps look like ant bites but reoccur.  Went to a general practice doc and he said he did not know what it was and it could possibly be stress. I recieved some anitbiotics , the bumps got a little better but soon came back.  What could be causing this. They tend to dry up and go away while another new one pops up beside it. please help

It can be a Golfer’s vasculitis heat rash, a red rash on the calves of many walkers. It often starts above the sock line and makes red patches and splotches up the calf. In that case, taking bath with cold water after staying in the sun or applying cold wet towels may help. The other possibility is of vasculitis or peripheral vascular disease which may present with such symptoms.
I feel that you should consult a dermatologist and take a second opinion from him.
