small round scaly spots.

I have been getting these small round scaly spots for no reason i can come up with.  They are small, eraser size, and round.  They pop up, seem dry, and in about a week, go away.  They sometimes are itchy (hardly noticable) but they dry up and flake away.  They have no rhyme as to where they pop up, face back, or arm.  They donot bleed unless scratched, nor do they seem wet.  Any help would be great.

I have been getting some small dark scaly spots on my face only. they come up and I would use blue to dry them up and skin lightening cream to get rid of the mark but in two days or less I see them come back. I really need my face back.

Any help is much appreciated.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

This could be Pityriasis rosea, which starts with a single scaly, red and slightly itchy spot, and within a few days, a large numbers of smaller patches of the rash may be found on other areas of the body. This is self-limiting and believed to have a viral nature.  No treatment is usually required. However, have this evaluated further by your doctor  to rule out other causes such as ringworm, psoriasis or discoid eczema.

Take care and keep us posted.
