so she has a rash....

on her upper inner thighs and butt (only). It's bumpy, itchy, clustered and looks bruised - where the bumps are (the skin's darker). She says it's better with the anti-biotic steroid Prednisone, but once she stops taking it comes right back. This has been going on for going on 3 months now. It's not contagious but it's very irritating - to the point where she just bursts into tears!! Please help...

Does ANYONE have any ideas what this might be before I drag her to a clinic.... We really can't afford it.

This is the only photo I have of the bumps, and it's gotten worse since it was taken. If anyone can help at all; any ideas, suggestions, etc... it would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
It can be due to folliculitis or boils. Keep the area clean and apply some warm compresses and topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics.

Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
