solodyn break out- now on cephalaxin-NO PROGRESS

I had minimal acne (a pimple here and there). went to Derm just to see if i could get skin as clear as possible, biggest mistake of my life right now. He started me with acanya and then gave epiduo a try (acne became bad on my forehead). Went back to him and he prescribed me epiduo with solodyn. After a few weeks i had tiny red spots on my face and huge pimples. I tried proactive as well and that didnt work. After that i told him the situation over the phone and he said to continue the solodyn with epiduo. i did for another month and nothing happened. He now switced me to cephalaxin and i have been on it for about three days. my whole face now has tiny pimples starting to emerge in areas i never have had them before. I am supposed to see him in a few days. Please idk what else to do.

Zithromax is first line medication and well recommended world over as a pulse therapy.
Cheers.

Spoke to my doctor. I refused accutane, he put me on another antibiotic called zithromax 3 x a week. Is this a good medication, will it clear the acne on my forehead and cheeks. I am also using proactive as a topical.

Thoughts?

Thanks. I will try it for a bit and see what happens. It is just on my forehead, and it is  just the redness with the dark spots underneath that are annoying. Anything you reccomend for the spots. I bought the Proactive dark spot remover, so i was thinking of giving that a shot.

There should be no contraindication there, but you may well make sure with your Doc.

I stopped taking the anti biotic because it was making me dizzy and blurred vision. I feel like you be right that it is a gram-ve folliculitis, but will the only thing to get rid of it be an antibiotic or will just using a topical like proactive do the trick beacuse it has done ok in the past. I am not going on accutane for just a rash on my forehead.

Yea I went to doctor and he already wanted to start me on accutane. I used to use proactive and never had a problem, but since the combo of all the creams he gave me it has gotten worse. I had folliculitis on my body from shaving but that went away. Idk if i should just stop the Cephalaxin and use proactive or continue the pill with epiduo. Seems like nothing is working.

Possibly a gram-ve folliculitis. To continue with Cepahlexin is the way out. Do consult doc.

You may want to try some cream that is prescribed. I forgot the name but it like burns the acne. It's pretty strong stuff. Also try nuetragena for starters and try to wash your face frequently. Take 2-3 showers a day and try not to touch your face. I did that and I'm acne free now.
