sore itchy breasts
I've been having an issue with very itchy and sore breasts. They itch so bad that I rub them until it leaves bright red places which looks like hickeys. They hurt really bad also. A year and a half ago I had a biopsy on a lump in one of my breasts. It turned out to be benign. The itching started several weeks ago. They don't look dry but I've put nonscented lotion on them several times with no relief. What can I do to get this to stop. I can't take it anymore.
Thank you for your help ,
                                                   Sincerely,

Hello,

Without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis, eczema, fungal infections, rash due to friction rub with clothes, dermatitis (atopic, contact, allergic), heat rash or excessive sweating causing sweat dermatitis.

You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid deodorant / cosmetics. You can also use calamine lotion or a mild steroid cream. Also take antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin.
If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.Fungal infections have to be ruled out.

Hope it helps .Take care and pls do keep us posted in case you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
