sore spot

I have bben having a recurring issue with the same area of my scalp. In the center of my scalp where the hairline starts, that same spot always gets sof and tender worse than a hair bump would. When I pull on hairs in the area they just slide right out. Most of the time I cant even fell it and/or it hurts as I pull the hairs out. I am left with a little bald spot or plug in the front of my head. After I pull the hairs out the areal "heals" and hardens back up like the rest of my scalp and I just wait until the hair grows back and then a few months later it happens again. I do not have the slightest clue as to what causes it.

I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be infected hair follicle or boil. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. . Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle.

Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful.In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.
