spots in armbit

Ive just noticed some spots/lumps under my armpit. they are dark with a black top. and i was wondering what they could be? ive been looking at forums etc and ive read numerous things, i shave my armpits with a razor but not THAT often and sometimes i forget to put cream on. i think iv had one of them a while but now iv noticed two under my armpit and one on my side jus left of my breast (surely this cant be from shaving?) which looks similar. i shaved yesterday and now a red similar sized one on my other armpit...am i over worrying about it? could they be brought on by using deodrants? etc.
do ingrown hair spots usually come up as small little bumps which are dark? as thats what my sister said they may be. (she hasnt seen them in person!)
