spreading pimples on cheek bone

I had a pimple under the surface of the skin, red and round, for about two weeks on my cheekbone.  It would oscillate from inflamed to nearly disappearing.  Suddenly as it started to fade away another one or two broke out below it along the cheek bone line.  I apply an antibiotic gel on it twice a day after cleaning my face but it still seems to be spreading.  At night I feel a tingly sensation there and am afraid it will continue to spread.  What can I do?

Thanks!

Hi,

Okay you have to look at your diet. I know that dosctors say that diet does not affect acne but from my own experience it;s not true. My doctor (she is Russia now) always told me that what you eat reflects on your face. You need to lead a healthy diet for about 2 months. THATS RIGHT! 2 MONTHS. Cut out fried stuff, sweets, white bread and eat more fruits and veggies (eat less of those that are of red colour). And keep using what you are using on your face. I had the same that you have and I can definitely recognize your description. Suck it up, eat healthy and I promise you it's gonna go away.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Such type of pimple can be an infected hair follicle, boil or a cyst. Boil is usually due to plugged sweat glands that become infected or by an ingrown hair. . Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics and warm compresses. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics and incision and drainage may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
