staph and yellow blisters on hands

by tiptoe, Aug 11, 2008 01:54PM
What is the best to get rid of the itchy yellow sometimes crusty blisters?   Also is keflex/cephalexin the only one for staph infection ?

no, those medications are not the only ones available for staph infection. I am currently on bactrim and doxycycl that the ER dr sent home with me and while at the hospital received 300mg of intravenous antibiotic zyvox.  Usually they give you keflex if you are allergic to any of the "cillin" (antibiotics containing the suffix "cillin" antibiotic such as penicillin, amoxicillin, etc.  I'm not sure because I am definitely not a doctor but I do have 6 children, so I've had plenty of doctors visits and advice.
