My condom broke while having sex and now I am worried about std's. How long does it take for herpes to show up and other std's? I'm nervous!! Frank

Incubation periods vary from a few days to much longer.  I suggest you see a doctor and get tested.  Some of the tests, such as blood tests, may have to be repeated in several weeks to be completely reliable.  But if your partner had no evident disease, you won't necessarily find out that you caught something from a single contact.

Take care.
