steroid rosacea

hi dr, my problem is not much different than the other ones i am also suffering from steroid rosacea i had also used steroid for 2-3 yrs ie betamethasone though i have completely discontinued its use now but i have rosacea i have papules on my skin which flare up and have inflammation on my face which has become persistent now, and am having severe discomfort itching as well as reddness in the eyes as well. I went to a dermatologist he prescribed me with elidel cream but i dont use it much frequently though i found some betterment in the skin from that because it gave me severe headache as well as i fear that if i get addicted with this as i got addicted with the steroid,
i have lost my life i am very upset and lost my confidence kindly help me out i shall be very grateful to u
