sticky lips

My lips have been sticky and dry lately - I went to the Doctor has blood tests and chest xray - I also went last week to an ENT and had cat scan, I know I have nasal polyps - I had them removed 10 yrs ago but he says there back - do you think this is causing my sticky lips (saliva)

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Nasal polyps can recur after a period of time. This could lead to acute or chronic sinusitis which can lead to the saliva changes. Other differentials would be chronic allergic rhinitis or allergic causes.  If chronic sinusitis is diagnosed, a course of oral antibiotics or steroids can be considered.  It is good that your ENT evaluation, xray, blood tests and ct scan were fine.

It would be best to have this evaluated by your doctor for proper management. Drink plenty of fluids and allergic testing may also be done. Take care and keep us posted.
