sticky perianal skin

other than pinworm what would cause the skin around my anus to be sticky

Apart from pinworms, sticky skin around anus is caused by moisture and sweating around the area, harsh soaps and chemicals around the area, chemical reaction to laundry soap, colognes, douches, and birth control products or skin infections around the anus.

A protective ointment that contains zinc oxide (Desitin, Balmex) may help. Severe cases may need topical steroids. Without physical examination, I cannot precisely confirm a diagnosis, so please get it evaluated from a dermatologist.
