sting at tip of penis on urination and red marks

After using a lotion in a hotel, the tip of my penis started to itch a bit and about 1/4 of an inch down in my urethra I felt a stinging sensation while urinating.  Almost as if there is a scratch inside my urethra.  After a few days, the stinging during urination got better and I had sex with my girlfriend. During sex my penis felt fine, but the next day the irritation got worse. The tip of my penis is more sensitive now and has a few red marks. The stinging during urination near the tip of my penis is also still happening.  But I do not have any signs of secretions or bladder infection.  I'm monogamous and my girlfriend's annual tests are all ok.   Do I have a skin infection? A bad reaction to the lotion?  Please advise.

You could be having urinary tract infection, allergic reaction to the lotion or some other conditions such as eczema , dermatitis , etc, which could be the cause of your symptoms.

It would be best to consult your doctor for a clinical examination and to come to a definite  diagnosis.

Till then you should drink plenty of water, take some oral antihistamine medications if the itching is severe, maintain good personal hygiene, wash all your clothes in chlorhexidine and dry them nicely.
