striae distensae

So I have striae distensae on my thighs...I'm 19 5'3 and I'm not overweight. Iv only gained 8 pounds and I'm 29 weeks pregnant. I have striae distensae on my thighs but there not bad but there bad enough for me....I use palmers everyday 2 times a day all over my body and boi oil on my thighs and tummy also. I have no stretch marks anywhere eles :) but on my left thigh I have these stretch marks that are striae distensae. There long stretch marks kinda have hole like stretch marks. If you look up striae distensae pictures on google I don't have it even close to tht bad but that's a percent or two what it looks like on my thighs. My INNER thighs.  So my question is...has anyone eles had/have what I have???  What can I do to make it go away!!?

I'm glad that the bio oil is working for you.

Be careful of what you use during pregnancy as well...some things that are absorbed into the skin, are unknown as to what may harm the baby.
I believe bio oil is safe, as is vitamin E oil.

You could try taking vitamin E oil by mouth along with the bio oil.
Aloe is good too. These help with the elasticity issues.

I should mention that you might get more ideas on one of the pregnancy forums as well. Other mom's to be can offer you ideas.

Wishing you and baby the best!

The bio oil stuff has worked. I has lil red lines on my side and I used the bio oil two times a day and they went away after a few weeks! It's kinda expensive for a lil thing but it's worth it...but it hasn't really done anything for my inner thighs but those are more extreme then just a lil stretch mark

I think most of us have stretch marks. There are many companies that claim to be able to make them disappear...if you find one that " really works " let us know. lol

Some doctors will tell you to use vitamin A, vitamin E, Aloe, etc...orally.
Since every person is different, you never know which one ( if any ) will work for you.
Keep in mind that these things won't get rid of the marks, but they will make them fade.
Laser therapy can also be used, but it will more than likely darken the marks.
There is no real way to totally remove them...sorry to say...but you can lighten them...which will cost you...but they fade over time anyway...so most of us never bother.
Try posting on  the Alternative Therapies forum for more home remedies.
