subungual wart on middle finger

subungual wart on middle finger

Hello, I have had a subungual wart on my middle finger for the past year and a half. It is located on the distal end of the fingernail.  My fingernail appears to be healthy and I have had it frozen three time in the past with no success. It is begining to be a problem for my profession requires me to use my hands and it is sensitive to put pressure on that finger.  Can I spread this wart to anyone else or other areas of my body? I have recently moved and am going to see a new dermatologist this month.  What kind of treatment can remove this wart successfully? Is surgery about the only option for removal?   Any info on this subject would be helpful to prepare me for my next Doctor visit.
   thank you

Try anything with salicylates in it. You can even use aspirin. You need to use it directly on it. Do a search on the web for salicylates and warts.
