sudden onset acne

by LetaB, May 12, 2008 12:08PM
Help! I'm 44 and around a year and a half ago I suddenly came down with severe cystic acne! I had a mild case of insignificant acne in my twenties but nothing like this! I get awful boil like pimples predominately along my jaw line and neck but also on my back, face, scalp, and rear end - I never had a single one on my tush before now. Now I seem to get "crops" of them. I mean I can't get one in a location without getting 6! What gives? It's really taken an terrible toll on my self esteem. I expected wrinkles at this age but not thie double whammy.

I'm a real "pizza face" this week and refuse to leave the house. I have a specialist's appointment at the end of the month and I hope he'll have a miracle. One good thing is, with my severe depression the acne gives me a daily physical reminder that I am cursed.
