tan lines

I have these tan lines on my legs and I don't know how to get rid of them. I've had them for several years. I'm not sure if they are tan lines but I read on the internet that people get them during puberty. I guess it's is just some skin condition. As a result, I have not worn shorts in the public for several years. Is there a cure?

I cannot confirm anything without examination but these can be stretch marks or simple hyperpigmentation of the skin. Stretch marks can appear when there is rapid stretching of the skin.It is common in rapid gaining or losing of weight,pregnancy,puberty,cushings syndrome and overuse of steroids.
