telogen effluvium question

telogen effluvium question

i've had several bouts of TE over the years, starting after 9/11 and I just went through another one and can't tell if it's ending and what "normal" hair loss is. i was very stressed and noticed shedding more than normal starting sept 09 and then in the midst of this shedding had to have surgery w/gen anesthesia at the end of Oct.  i've been tracking my hair shedding and it seemed to peak in early november and by the end of november was averaging about 110 hairs per day (still high but less)- early-mid december was about 90 hairs a day.of december and for the last four weeks have been averaging over a weel of about 50-60 hairs a day which seems to be normal. oddly enough, the last week was very low - i wash my hair every other day and was losing 5 hairs on non wash days and about 40-60 on wash days.  today i washed it and lost about 90-100 for the day. my question are: is 4 weeks enough time to determine a TE bout is over? also, is there any concern that it went up to 90-100 hairs today (i only lost 5 yesterday and didn't wash it)? i've been taking iron pills and got my ferritin level up to 70. after so many bouts of TE i don't really know what's normal anymore for hair loss and have been stressing a lot about this which probably makes the shedding worse.

thank you.
