also if ur gp continues to ignore u, go to emergency.. i can pretty much guantee they will admit him and they wont let him go til they know what is wrong..
i went to the gp on thursday with him and they refered him to gastro at the hospital i really dont think this is the issue im sure its his tonsils but gp told me he didnt think that was the case and that he was not bad enough fo ent to look at him i find this patronising and am really annoyed but i supose i should let gastro do there thing and see what happens will post again when i get the appointment! tanks for the posts anything is helpfull
you know you don't need to get refferred through your gp to see an ent. next time he is unwell take him to emergency. when i worked in paediatric ward, the amount of children we admitted for conditions like this was crazy.. often all saying there gps didnt take it seriously.
when you say admitted what is it you mean? and what do you think i should do how bad do things have to get before any one will listen to me i really feel that unless a child is half dead there ok in gps eyes why dont they pay any attention to the one person who knows a child best (mother) i feel that my opinions mean nothing to them
i Know, i understand how hard it is. admitted means put into hospital. If you are so unsatisfied with your GP then i would really consider seeing another doctor. yeah as i was saying GP's can miss things in children fairly easily because there trained as a whole, like they do the entire age span. If your child is in hospital ie. emergency, the paediatrician has to see him before they are legally allowed to send him home.
