treatment for goose bumps on penis

Hello. I am 16 yrs old and for the last 2 years or so i have had these small bumps on the shaft of my penis and on my scrotum as well. This is quite an annoyance for me when i'm trying to get with a girl, it makes me feel terrible and i lose all confidence. Is there anything you can reccomend me doing to lessen the amount of bumps or get rid of them in all? I would prefer not going to a doctor as it would be really embarrasing to ask my parents to take me...

i hope someone on here knows what I am going thru and they can help me!

Hi,

These goose bumps that you refer to may actually be normal structures in the penis. Blocked follicles or hair glands, enlarged sweat glands may actually present as bumps on the penis.

Are these itchy or painful?

For how long have you noted these bumps?

Are there any redness, scaling or peeling of the skin?

If this is associated with any pain or itchiness, redness or problems with erection or ejaculation then you may need to inform your parents or guardian about this. I understand that this may be embarassing but it is necessary that you may need to have this evaluated especially if this has been something that is only recently noted.

I have the same symptoms as many other people on this forum. They are not itchy or painful in anyway, I have had these for probably 2 or 3 years, and they are just skin colored. I am not worried about this being harmful to my health, but more to my reputation if a girl saw these and you know how word goes around a high school...it goes fast.

If they are blocked follicles is there any ointments or medication i can apply to the bumps to clear them or clean them out?

If they are enlarged sweat glands is there anyway i can reduce the size?

These bumps really bother me and keep me from getting with other girls. If you could give me names of medication or a specific diagnosis like a name of the condition so i could further research it, i would greatly appreciate it.
