Strawberry induced rash (like hives) is urticaria and can be eliminated (so that you can eventually eat strawberries without problem) by taking high dose B12 vitamin (100 micrograms i think it was, small pink tablet) also take multi B vitamin to avoid B imbalance. Doctors don't seem to know about this.
Better get your arm amputated.
Hi there, I get the exact same thing and have for years, on me the cause of it is eating strawberries or lobster. When I eat strawberry jam that has cooked strawberries there is no problem but when the berries are fresh there is something in them that causes the rash. I was tested and I have no allergies, the doctor told me that it was a nettles reaction similar to stinging nettles the green bushes that cause red bumps to rise. The important thing to realize is that there is a delay of about 12 to 20 days after eating the berries or lobster to the time i get the breakout. if I eat a small amount of berries or lobster I do not break out at all, the more i eat the more i get the rash. If I eat many i get very small red bumps close to gether and slowly they turn less red and less defined and the rash spreads apart. Starts about three quarters of an inch diameter then spreads out and the middle is first to heal so it looks like ring worm sort of. Then they generally stick around where the two halves of the elbow touch each other, like a heat rash. Hot water makes it very obvious. The best way to get rid of it is to do nothing at all, do not scratch and keep open to air not covered over with cream as that seals in the toxins, my body seems to need to get rid of toxins at this spot for some reason. I also sometimes get one tiny dry patch above my right eyebrow that goes scaley after lots of lobster. hope this helps others. I was unaware that foods can have such a long delayed affect. It took years to figure out what this was for me, i found consuming as many simple foods helped me figure this out. Also writing it all down and taking pictures everytime i had a breakout helped a lot so i could compare the type of rash. I breakout slightly differently with lobster compared to strawberries. I would not be able to track these separately if I did not document with pictures on the two elbow pits. Good luck!

Did your skin get better? I just wanted to add that recently I discovered I have reactions to salicylates that causes me to have itchy rashes in my elbow creases, my eyelids and my neck. If I stay away from the food that contains salicylates, it starts clearing up. There are a lot of foods I love that I can no longer eat, but its worth it to have skin that don't itch.
hello, i also have this! i used to get it as a small child, along with in my armpits. My doctors could never diagnose it, even though they often scraped some of the skin off to test it. It was a wintertime thing for me, so luckily i could wear turtle necks because they had long sleves...i mean comm'on what kid wants to be made fun of for a rash. It started comming back this summer. At first i thought i was allergic to the new colorful wrap they put around when they draw blood, untill it developed on the other arm too. I never associated it with my eczema, as thats always on my hands. Did you ever find out what it is??? If so what was it, because im dying to get it treated. Its been super warm, and it honestly looks like someone was shooting up and had a reaction. I get lots of stares. Sometimes i wish theyd stare at my baby bump instead because its not *as* awkward!
Hello,
From your symptoms the possibility of eczema needs to be ruled out. . Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema. Allergic reaction can occur to strong soaps, Solvents, chemicals, certain foods, food additives, plants, metals, cosmetics, even urine and faeces of some animals (dust mites).
Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid. Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Use good quality moisturizers to prevent moisture loss from the skin. If still the symptoms do not improve then please get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
