underarm rash

a few weeks ago, i noticed that my underarm itches a lot.
I looked at it, and i saw a few bumps, it was reddish.
then after a few days, it became blackish.
It may be because i scratch it a lot since it itches.
Someone told me to put garlic in it. She told me it maybe a fungi.
When i put garlic in it, it burns. But nothing happens.
What should i do??

Without examination,confirmation of a diagnosis is tough but it can be contact dermatitis,rash due to friction rub with clothes, folliculitis,boils,dermatitis (atopic, contact, allergic), heat rash or excessive sweating causing sweat dermatitis.

You may try calamine lotion on the rash. You should also maintain hygiene and try to keep the area clean and dry, wear loose-fitting cotton clothing. Also use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid deodorant / cosmetics. You can also use a barrier cream with zinc oxide paste or petroleum jelly or a mild steroid cream like dermacort.If the bumps are itchy,you  can take some antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin.

If the rash persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.

If the lumps persist then it will be best to get it evaluated from a dermatologist.Genital warts have to be ruled out.
